In a beautiful setting of rolling hills and open woodland, this remote location attracts wildlife throughout the year. Not far away from the lodge is the Mara River, which is world famous for being the main wildebeest migration area between the months of July and October. Head into one of the communal areas where you will enjoy broad views of the grassland and the animals that frequent. You will see magnificent sights from the bar, the pool, the lounge and the dining areas. Each communal area has a wide variety of seating options, both inside and out. The inside lounges have many intimate spots where you will relax after a long day out in the bush. Set yourself up next to the great fireplace on one of the large and comfortable sofas, where you will share your adventures with other travellers, or just curl up and watch the day fade away. Also, don’t be afraid to venture over to the fully stocked bar where the experienced staff will conjure up the perfect tipple to end your day. If you need more relaxation after a long day out on the plains, you can always indulge yourself in one of the many massage options that are offered in the Melengali Spa. Protected by a large outcropping of kopje is the effervescent infinity pool area, just off from the main communal area. Here you will be to cool off in the hot afternoon sun and enjoy cold drinks as you look out across the vast Serengeti.

A prominent feature to the Lemala Kuria Hills is the large kopjes that have allowed fifteen spacious tent suits to be discreetly placed within. Each tented suite is glass-fronted, so you won’t miss any wildlife sightings that may be out on the plains. Each suite is elegantly designed with a contemporary feel, you will find modern and comfortable interiors of wooden flooring and decoration of authentic African touches. Step out onto your private decking where you will take in the private and majestic views from the comfort of a sun lounger or your private plunge pool. The bathrooms in each suite are also luxurious. You will slip into a deep and hot bathtub to wash the day away, all whilst looking out towards the Serengeti as you soak in your suds. Whilst you shower or bathe, you will listen to the sounds of African wildlife.

Tripadvisor comments Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge

It is hard to find words to adequately describe our experience at Kuria Hills. The views, the game drives and the location were absolute perfection. What really made our stay so magical was the outstanding warmth and attention to detail shown by all the staff. Nelson and his team are a real credit to the Lemala brand and we cannot thank them enough. It went way beyond excellent service and felt as though we were being looked after by family who genuinely cared. No detail was overlooked. When they noticed we enjoyed a particular wine, it was packed into the cooler for the next day’s game drive. We will treasure these memories forever.

This place is amazing from start to finish. From the beautiful accommodation, to the food, the top notch service, and wonderful staff. And it's all in the stunning Serengeti where you can hear lions at night and watch baboons and gazelle play from your deck. A little piece of paradise in the wilds! Thanks to fabulous camp host Daniel, our guide Barnabus, bartender Goodwill, and our server Damien for making sure we had a wonderful time! And we were also very impressed with the way the camp was cutting down on plastic use and supporting the local community!
