The dream that is Africa

Located in the far east of the Serengeti plains, Entara Olmara Camp is a haven for visitors and wildlife alike. The surrounding area is home to the acacia woodlands that lie on the border of the savannah, which attracts prey and predators en masse. Offering eight private tents all under canvas, merging beautifully into the natural environment, to help cause little disturbance for the animal inhabitants of the area and point focus on the magnificent vista that surrounds the tented camp. Situated at the centre of the camp is the dining and lounge area which is the meeting point for travellers. The design of the furnishings is to compliment the surrounding outside area, using a mixture of white, greens and yellows to make it feel like an extension of the plains. The lounge area has the comfort of large sofas and a warming campfire to sit by during the cold African nights. The side of the tent is often raised so that you can see out into the bountiful Serengeti and watch as the animals wander throughout the kopjes. The dining area is next to the lounge and offers a great spot to relax and enjoy a delectable meal served by the onsite chefs. Taste traditional African dishes that have been made using locally sourced produce, giving you the flavours of Africa.

With eight tents all under canvas and with beautiful views of the plains, each gives you luxury and comfort at its finest. The tented suites contain a lounge that has sofas to recline on and look out over the vista. A dressing area that has handcrafted cupboards, a king-size bed with draped netting to offer a peaceful night's sleep and carpeting throughout. Every tented suite also has an en-suite bathroom that makes use of a natural theme shower and flushing toilet. Head outside to your own private seating area so that you can enjoy the views that surround you and listen to the calls of the wild. Due to the African night sky being majestic, Olmara Camp also has two tented suits designed as ‘star domes’. With an open rooftop that lies above large cushions to recline on, you can fall asleep under the stars.

Tripadvisor comments Entara Olmara Camp

I stayed at the Olmara Camp in the Serengeti National Park in July 2022 with my family during our safari in Tanzania. What a fantastic camp it was! Delicious food and genuinely caring staff made it perfect! The hospitality here is really next level, and I highly recommend the Olmara Camp! Asante Sana! :)

This was our 4th camp we stayed in as part of a week long Safari in Tanzania & it completely surpassed our expectations. Based in the Eastern part of the Serengeti, we encountered a pride of 4 lions close to the camp who we were able to observe over a few days. The tented camp itself is exquisite - beautiful suite style rooms with sofas & a desk, a lovely large bathroom & great touches - big snuggly blankets, huge towels, laundry done for you, hot water bottles placed in your bed & tea & coffee brought to you in the morning with freshly made biscuits.
